IS A BARRE DESERVED TO BE HOSTED?
MAY 8TH, 1992
I have been quiet for the last few months, however my silence has
been broke out and disturbed in late last month when former Dictator
Mohamed Siad Barre, Ex-President of Somali Republic, who has been ousted
from power early last year, was welcomed and given temporary Asylum by
the Kenya Government after he was chased from his strong hold base in
Gedo Region where he was since January 1991 with his well trained
bodyguards as well as his supporters.
Siad Barre did not deserve to be welcomed and hosted by any
Government on this earth, because he was the man who lay the meat of
thousands of innocent Somali People for the dogs to eat, the man who
caused the Wars, strife, mayhem, and suffering among the Somali
Communities who were enjoying peace in some extent before he took power
in a military coup in 1969.
He was not only massacred the innocent Nationals but he also
slaughtered and killed un -necessarily most of the wildlife of Somalia
as well as some of the Wildlife of the neighboring countries like Kenya
to take out their skins and horns for the sake of getting hard currency
in which he deposited the notorious foreign accounts where most
Dictators put the stolen money from the countries where they rule.
It is not completely true as many people say that all the Merehaan
Clan are shared the crime and destruction with Mohamed Siad Barre but in
the contrary it was only him and a few elements who did not understand
the future of their own people as well as theirs, who were responsible
what has happened in Somalia for the almost past two decades.
Let to everybody, that any one who committed such a major crimes in
his country like those who are in his kind, that there is no place to
live for him or them in this world. In fact, I ask myself many times
that how a man who overthrew a legitimate Government in a coup,
destroyed the whole country whether it he economically, socially,
educationally and politically, can he offered a political Asylum by the
world communities and Governments when they know that he committed that
serious crimes From his own people and country.
In conclusion, I strongly appeal to the World Communities and well-wishers
not encourage the World Dictators whose sun is setting such as Mohamed Siad
Barre who ate half of his people and let The rest to be a refugee in many different countries.
Therefore, I think that a new era Has come for Somali people when Barre left to come together in a round table
To settle the long dispute among themselves.
In addition, I should warn - or advise the Kenyan citizens to avoid civil war
and its cause especially Northern Province.
